Position: Regional Account Executive (RAE) – Southwest US

  • Sales Territory: Southwest U.S. The sales territory will likely include states such TX, LA, OK, AR, CO, NM, AZ, CA, NV & UT
  • Home Location: Ideal candidates will reside in Texas, but applicants from other Southwest U.S. states will be considered.


Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Regional Account Executive (RAE). As RAE, your key responsibilities will be to drive new business growth, expand our market presence, and foster strong relationships with existing clients to ensure successful renewal agreements. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in cross-selling additional products and services to our established client base, maximizing their value and further solidifying our position as a trusted partner in the banking and credit union sectors. This role demands a deep understanding of the industry, a proven track record of successful sales leadership, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers. Your strategic vision and dedication will be instrumental in propelling our company's growth and success in the financial services market.

Responsibilities

New Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential new clients and market segments.
  • Conduct follow up prospecting activities, including but not limited to, phone calls, emails, social media, and other resources.
  • Qualify leads through effective communication and understanding of customer needs.
  • Set appointments and meetings and assist with requested follow-up.
  • Conduct research to understand prospective client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and achieve revenue targets.

Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with our clients and serve as their primary point of contact for all product and service needs.
  • Evaluate client’s program performance metrics and recommend solutions to achieve successful results, while ensuring on-time contract renewals and revenue retention within a strategic book of business.
  • Execute monthly/quarterly/yearly reviews as directed. Proactively raise areas of opportunity, as well as solutions to challenges and issues. This will involve many different touchpoints,
  • check-in calls and strategic partnership meetings, largely based on the phase within the stage of the customer journey.
  • Drive revenue growth by upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the portfolio of solutions within your assigned account base.

Industry Events and Conferences:

  • Network with industry professionals to establish and strengthen business relationships.
  • Showcase company products/services to potential clients and partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through conversations and interactions.
  • Gather market intelligence by attending sessions and engaging with industry leaders.
  • Represent the company professionally and positively, enhancing its reputation.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to maximize visibility and impact of company presence at events.
  • Evaluate the ROI of attending each event and provide feedback to management for future decision-making.

Sales Process, Presentations and Negotiations:

  • Create and manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals.
  • Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to win new and renewal business.
  • Conduct sales meetings, presentations, and negotiations with potential and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of sold solutions.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

  • Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze market data and gather insights to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies.
  • Share market intelligence with internal teams to support product development and marketing efforts.

CRM and Pipeline Management:

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and revenue projections.
  • Utilize CRM systems and sales analytics to track sales activities, analyze data, and drive performance.
  • Record, update and maintain CRM with relevant and timely client and prospect interactions, sales leads, opportunities, and sales-related activities (ex: deal value, expected close dates, sales stages, and forecasting probabilities).
  • Document and maintain records of any sales or client activities (calls, meetings, emails, follow-ups, activities).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, communication, or a related field and/or a minimum of 5+ years of experience working at a bank or credit union.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the retail banking industry, including products, services, processes, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to travel an estimated 30% of the time to attend industry events to meet with clients, partners, and company team members.
  • A dedicated, quiet, and private workspace to perform work duties when working remotely or from home. The workspace must be free from distractions and have a stable internet connection to support virtual video and phone communication for collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience selling, implementing, managing, or training a Rewards Checking product and/or an Overdraft Privilege program is extremely beneficial.

Skills

  • Basic Accounting, Banking Operations and General Ledger familiarity is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail, strong project management skills in a fast-paced, results-driven, and deadline-focused environment.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to develop creative solutions that meet client and company goals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Infor CRM software and SmartSheet, or the ability to quickly learn these tools.
